The February issue of The Scientific Mind magazine, states, "Childhood play is crucial for social, emotional and cognitive development...studies suggest that lack of opportunity for unstructured, imaginative play can keep children from growing into happy, well adjusted adults." Play is considered a form of communication and developmental growth. Play Therapy is a therapeutic approach designed to use playto assist children to resolve social, emotional and behavioral problems as well as teach skill development.
